A MESSAGE FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Musical Arts Corporation & Subsidiaries

It is my honor, as Executive Director of the Corporación de las Artes Musicales, to extend the warmest welcome to the 66th season of the Puerto Rico Symphony Orchestra. We feel deeply honored to have the opportunity to present a series of concerts that promise to be a sublime celebration of music in all its diversity and splendor.

This season, we have curated a repertoire that spans from the sophistication of Claude Debussy's Impressionism and the Russian Romanticism of Sergei Rachmaninoff to the emotional and expansive sound of the transition between Romanticism and Modernism by Gustav Mahler. Additionally, we will contrast these styles with the contemporary innovations of the renowned Eric Whitacre and the orchestral grandeur of Maurice Ravel. Each selection has been carefully chosen to offer a musical experience that caters to a wide range of preferences and tastes.

Our programming will include 12 classical concerts that will explore the depth of the symphonic repertoire, 4 educational and family concerts aimed at inspiring and educating new generations, and 4 POPS concerts that blend tradition with contemporary elements to attract a diverse audience.

We are also proud to announce the participation of distinguished artists, both local and international, who will enrich our performances with their excellence. This year, we have also strengthened our collaborations with prestigious institutions such as Ballets de San Juan, the Olga Iglesias Project, and the Conservatory of Music of Puerto Rico. These alliances will allow us to offer a varied and high-quality season.

We warmly invite you to join us on this musical journey and to share with us the experience of a season full of wonders and splendor.

I look forward to greeting you personally throughout the season—enjoy it!

Warm regards,

Melissa M. Santana, MBA
